Facing issues with 1099 form corrections on eCommerce platform?

Is anyone else having trouble getting Shopify to make corrections to 1099 Forms?


We had resubmitted corrected 1099 information detailing the correct Tax account that should be listed on our  1099  forms to Shopify 4 times this year and each time they confirmed that they received the corrections as well as informed us that the corrections have been made and that now we can submit the correct forms to the IRS.


After each time we checked and nothing has been changed?  Each time they tell us that it will take weeks to make these changes.  This has been going on for 4 months.


Does Shopify use bots for updating IRS Tax documents?  I cannot imagine that a human could be this incompetent?  If anyone has any insight into getting out of this ridiculous loop, we would love to hear?

Our Merchant Tax Support team has a turnaround time that is longer than normal, due to a large number of requests.
