setting destination based tax rates according to customer address?

We're a dropshipping business based in DE, so we follow remote seller rules and currently use destination based rules for taxation. this is cumbersome because we currently need to input every possible destination ( virtually ALL zip codes in the US) to properly charge taxes for our customers. or is there a better way to do this? or are we misunderstanding something here?
