State-Specific Notes about Taxes at Shopify Checkout

Is it possible to include state-specific tax notices on the tax line at checkout for customers purchasing in three US states? 

My legal team tells me I need to include a notice for CO, LA, and VT customers only about sales tax. Wondering if Shopify will allow me to have a notice pop-up for these customers at checkout. Please help!
