80 FB views in 1 minute - All with 0s viewing???

Afternoon all,

I have had this happen to me today... first time ever seen it...

but i have had two lots of 40 views all in the same minute from the USA with 0 seconds viewing??

Can anyone explain this... really messing up my stats and trend analysis.

Hi there,

It is just a normal carousel ad, that is only only shown to uk audience... so these 80 views do not show up on my ad stats but in my shopify store and also google analytics.

as of the 6th of August Google is rolling out more seo changes to their algorithms. 

Totally hit reply by mistake, sorry!

These new rollouts will give random results, like what you described here. Personally two of the pages I manage went from around 2,500 views a day to 40,000 over about 10 minutes. Now they're normal again.

These fluxes frequently alert decent digital marketers to incoming algorithm updates.
