Can I manage multiple stores with a basic package?

Hello, 

If my shopify package is basic, does this mean that I can't have more than one store? given the fact that we're currently operating and delivering in Dubai only, but soon we will operate in Egypt, so we need to have different prices and delivery terms, as well as different products.

Thanks Don for the reply. well, the issue is that I need one website for all: lakanto.me, same home page, same sections, but the only difference will be the products. I came across the following article and wanted to double check if it is possible, since i'm having the basic package.
