Disapproved products on Google Merchant Centre

Hello

We have a selection of products that have been disapproved on Google Merchant Centre. The reason they give is that the colour attribute is missing. 

The only way I can fix this is by adding a colour varient but some of the products don't lend themselves to this. In my opinion it will just confuse customers browsing. Example here https://www.everythingguineapig.com/collections/accessories/products/fine-bone-china-guinea-pig-trin...

Are there any other ways to resolve this other than adding a colour varient?

Savannah here from the Shopify Guru Team. 🙂 

At this time, Google requires all products in the apparel category to have colour variants. You can learn more about that here. 

That said, it looks like you're using a Shopify Supported Theme. I would recommend emailing us at support@shopify.com to put your 60 minutes of allotted design time to good use. Our theme team can help you hide the colour variant on your product pages so that your customers won't see it while browsing.
