Does posting reviews to your own store affect SEO?

So I just installed the Product Reviews app by Shopify https://apps.shopify.com/product-reviews

I sell my products on many other platforms. As I don't want my customers to go the store to write reviews again, I'm planning to copy the reviews from other platforms and post them on the Product Reviews section.

My questions are

- Will this be considered as duplicate content?

- Will I get purnished by Google for doing this? Considering that I can just post fake reviews as well, as many as I want.

Yes copying reviews from other sites and placing them on your products can flag your site as duplicate.

I recommend rewording these reviews and placing them into your product pages.

Ranking may improve if the reviews do have some sort of keywords related to your product. It adds to your overall page content.
