Have you found success with the Shopify Collabs app?

I recently discovered Shopify Collabs app and I wanted to know have any of you had success with using this app or is it full of people looking for a freebies and discounts?

I, too, just discovered it and am exploring the app's functionality. Our shop currently uses UpPromote as our affiliate marketing application, but I'm wondering what are the pros and cons of each app. I'll keep googling but any firsthand information would be super helpful. Thanks!

How is UpPromote working for you? From what I know Shopify Collabs is fairly new too but so far it seems to have positive reviews.

UpPromote is decent and serves its purpose as a way to track affiliate programs and partners, but I don't think it's very scalable. The learning curve versus overall functionality is lacking along with the reporting. I find myself wanting to be able to do more with it than the app allows. It also is extremely DYI. In the 20 minutes I spent with Shopify collabs today, it seems like a better overall fit, but I'd like to say that confidently.

With Shopify Collabs, the people you invite must make a Shopify account to use it. A Shopify account is required by your affiliate partners within Shopify Collabs. UpPromote does not require this. That's the trick.
