How can I make a metafield mandatory in product creation?

how can i make a metafield required?
i am create a metafield date now i need to make it required so that any who try to create a product 
need to fill that metafield until the save button need to be disable or it show some error message.

You should add validation to the field from the coding end to make any field required.
