How do I update Google Listings with product SKUs?

I uploaded my products without the SKU, and Google rejected them all.  I have now scanned them all in, but I don't know how to tell Google.  It does not seem to be seeing them, do I need to delete the Google Sales Channel and start over?

Sorry, total newbie here.

This is an accepted solution.

Having or not having SKU is not a reason for rejection. Considering SKU is not a mandatory field. Nor is it a field that Google Accepts.

SKU is stock keeping-unit which is a value for you to identify which product is which. IE for you to keep track of stock. Google does not use this.

MPN on the other hand is a Manufacturer Part Number, this is not the SKU. If you have MPN values, great, you can submit this, but don't mix it with SKU.

MPN values can be added in Shopify when you edit your product data.

However, the following rule applies:

1) If a manufacturer has assigned a barcode then you are required to add this info in the GTIN field. Alongside the brand value with identifier exists to yes.

2) If the manufacturer has not assigned a barcode, then remove the values brand, mpn and gtin and set identifier exists to no.
