How to submit my online store for Microsoft Bing?

Hello!

I would like to submit my online store for Microsoft Bing.

In the verification step of the submission, I have to choose amongst 3 options:

Option 1: Place an XML file on your web server

Option 2: Copy and paste a <meta> tag in your default webpageOption

3: Add CNAME record to DNS

Which one should I opt for?

Can you access the root directory of your store for the XML file? 

Shopify themselves seems to recommend the second method:

Hello Mariya,

You should opt for option 2. Just copy the meta tag and place it under theme.liquid file right above the </head> tag. You can find this file by going to Themes<<Template Editor.

I have tried adding my meta tag above </head> below it and loads of other places too and I still cant get it verifyed with bing. what am i doing wrong.
