We are right now making our new shop ready.
We need to redirect all our old urls to the new domain.
Is it enough just to go to URL redirect and write the new www domain in the "redirect to field" - will all product urls and so on be redirected to the urls for the new domain?
Scould i ask my domain provider to point our old domain to the new?
How do we get the new domain to be a HTTPS:// and not HTTP ?
Hope someone can help as we are doing this now.

For pages you need to have a redirect for you can do this directly in your Shopify admin using this guide: Add an URL redirect. There is also some apps available that can help if you have a lot of links to get redirected:
Once you have your account set up on Shopify and have your third-party domains pointing to your store, you will then be issued an SSL for your online store, which will change it to HTTPS. This can take a few days once it is all done.
I am sure other forum members will have some more advice in how they set this up also and some good tips. Hope this information helps! You can reach out to the Guru team https://help.shopify.com/questions if you have any questions.
Have a great day!

We have a question the other way around. We want to redirect out shopify shop to a new domain and system. We have a full redirect list ready. How can we do this? Since we cannot set redirects using htaccess or through other server possibilities, how is it possible with Shopify?
I tried setting up redirects using the default Shopify redirect function in the admin panel, redirecting to the full new domain, but it didn't work. Is there any app that can provide this?
Thanks and best,
