There are a few ways to sell on social media through Shopify:

  • Facebook sales channel
  • Checkout links

Facebook sales channel

The Facebook sales channel allows your customers to purchase your products directly from your Facebook page. Customers can purchase items one at a time and will use the secure Shopify checkout which can support multiple payment methods. See the post on Payments to learn more.

Checkout links

Customers may contact you on other social platforms looking to place an order or wanting to order multiple products at once. Using the Shopify mobile app you can create custom carts and send a secure checkout link directly to your customers. Here they can pay using the payment methods you have set up and you can track the order.

To create a sharable checkout link you will need to create a draft order which can be done on mobile or desktop. To share the link open your Shopify mobile app, go to Orders then Draft Orders. Tap on the draft order you created and then tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Tap “share checkout link” and send to it your customer on whichever platform you like. Currently this is only available on Android devices.
