Does Shopify markets feature include href langs in subfolders?

Hello,

I'm wondering if you choose to opt for the subfolders setting for the Shopify markets feature will that include href langs for those new pages? When my client initially turned this on, there was not that tag. So, I just wanted to check to see if that was still the case? Thanks.
