We're testing the possibility of moving to Shopify (currently only selling offline). Some of the products we offer have territory restrictions from the manufacturer (i.e. I can sell it to a customer in Ohio but not to one in California). What would be the best way to designate or handle this sort of restriction within the Shopify system?
You can create a shipping profile for specific products that can help you apply such rules. Besides this, there will be many apps available in app stores that can provide you much more control on such requirements.
