Does Canada Post calcuate the duties and taxes on shipments from Canada to the USA?

Hello,

I'm looking to ship my products from Canada the the USA and can't figure out if Canada Post includes the taxes and duties in the shipping rate or if my client will have to pay duties upon delivery? 

How can I ensure there are no surprises for my clients?
