Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
How do you fix it? I tried updating my address and adding a new location but then it refuses to verify my address that way. Then when I confirm it's verified, it tells me it's too long. My customer wants it shipped by UPS but it won't let me. It keeps not accepting a shorter version.
Added new location here:
End result of that lol
It finally kinda worked until I said to verify it - apparently it just puts it back to the really long version
And then spits out this error. It won't accept the shorter version which it needs but won't use the longer version. I don't understand how to fix this.
Hey, @Nintendobratkat!
Carriers have character limits for addresses so the only way to resolve the issue you're encountering is to reduce the number of characters in your address. Since you attempted to do this and the shortened address couldn't be verified, it means it's not typed in an accepted format. To find out the address format that carriers will accept in their system, you can use their validation tool and enter your address in your admin's Settings > Locations page the way it's typed out in the tool. For UPS, you can access the address validator on this page.
Feel free to give it a go and let me know if it resolves the error. Thanks!
