Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I received an order today where the fraud analysis states it's a low risk order, even though "Billing address or credit card's address wasn't available" and "Billing address ZIP or postal code isn't available to match with credit card's registered address". Processed through Shopify Payments.
I do have ZIP/postal code verification required in my Shopify Payment settings, but it still went through. Could I be missing something? How can I prevent orders like this from coming through?
Hi @FV-Shop
Not all banks/credit card support the zip/postal code verification which is classified as (Address verification service, or AVS). This is true for CVV verification checks as well, which is why the order was processed.
