Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi everyone,
I hope you are well. My drop shipping business is based in Dubai, and I am looking at adding Paytabs as a payment gateway on my store.
I would like to ask if Paytabs would be the same as offering my customers the option to pay by Credit Card - my main objective is to upgrade my Shopify Store package so that wherever I sell in the world, my customers will be able to view the products pricing in their local currency & also pay in their local currency. I know Shopify only offer this as a supported option if you have certain payment gateways set up - would Paytabs be accepted in this case?
Also, I see the advanced Shopify package is geared to larger companies that are growing their business. Is there a cheaper package option available for start up companies like myself, who just want to offer multiple currency options for customers?
Many thanks.

Hi there @GaynorTurner!
I can see you got some feedback here from the Community already, that's great!
Have you settled on a payment gateway for your store yet?
If not, you can take a look at all payment gateways available for use in UAE with your Shopify store here.
In cases where you're selling with Shopify Payments, there's more info here on our help site on how selling in multiple currencies would work.
For other gateways, you would need to confirm with the gateway provider what currency or currencies they can support.
Can you tell me a bit more about your business and what you're working on at the moment?
Have you settled on a product niche for your store?

Can I get help with my payment gateway? I have been doing it for days now, but
keep getting the same problem. I don't know what to do anymore and I am stressing really bad.
I am from Suriname ( south-America) so this payment gateway was one of the few options that were available
Kindly provide your store link
Hi Don, Many thanks for your feedback. Yes I have now found a payment gateway and am in the final stages of having it set up - I have gone with Telr who have been really helpful. My store sells Made to Order Luggage & Travel Products, and the main thing I am really focusing on at the moment is providing my customers with payment methods that they are happy with to get the sales rolling in, and then taking out some pay per click advertising on Google. I have had some great success with Facebook advertising, but having said that, after a few weeks my ads go live, they keep getting banned without any explanation which has been frustrating as a start up business, so I am going to try the Google route with hopefully a better experience 🙂
Thanks again for your feedback. Have a great day
