Payment went through, order not made

A customer created an order on my store. The payment has gone through. It shows in my payment gateway dashboard and customer has received the payment successful email.

But I can not see the order in Shopify orders section. It's shown in "Abandoned checkouts" section. 

What is the reason for this?

Hey, @rahalindrachapa!

While this is a rare occurrence, it does happen from time to time if you are using a third-party payment provider that leads away from the Shopify checkout. If the customer completes the transaction but closes the window before being sent back to the Shopify checkout then it breaks the connection and can cause the order to not be created within your admin. If you have confirmed that the funds are in your account, and the order is appearing in your abandon checkouts then you'll need to recreate the order as a draft order. 

1. Head to Orders/Drafts/Create Order:20-07-z2c68-aua51

2. Search the product(s) the customer ordered: 20-07-0og89-kvl03

3. Add a 100% discount to the order to bring the value to $020-07-qzy2l-11uj0

4. Add the customer to the order: 20-07-3exf2-amgiq

5. Select "Mark as Paid:"20-07-jn5cs-9al66

Once marked as paid, you can then view the order in your orders section, to which, you can add an order note to clarify why the order was manually created. You can then proceed with your regular fulfillment process and have updates sent to the customer once the order has been shipped. Okay, if the payment has processed twice (customer tried twice), I have not received the payment AND both orders are abandoned, how do I proceed?

Your customer would need to try again - If the orders did not go through, then the card was likely declined and your customer would be seeing an "authorization" and not a charge. Authorizations fall off within 1-3 business days as the banks' processing time. In most cases, you can see the reason the card was declined by opening the abandoned checkout, scrolling to the order timeline, and viewing the failed payment line. 

It would be best to have your customer contact their bank to determine why their card was declined as their bank will be able to provide further information on what they will need to do in order to successfully use the card for online payments.
