Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi All,
I'm currently migrating my store to Shopify! I'm in the UK
How do people print address labels for sticking to their packages for delivery?
On my current system I print the customer invoice to an A4 sheet which has an integrated label. The customer address is printed to a part of the sheet which is a 'peel off' label which I then stick to the package. Job done.
I can't find a way to replicate this on Shopify. In fact I can't find a way of printing out the address to a label at all really!
How is everyone printing their address labels?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi there,
I do understand the need to print address labels VS shipping labels. While the option to do so in bulk isn't yet integrated in the admin, you do have some third-party options. Check out the apps Address Labels, Super Address Labels, and LabelBot.
Each of these apps come with the capacity to help you print address labels either singularly or in bulk. You can even edit templates and achieve compatibility with the commonly known label brands such as Avery and Dymo. They're all around $5/month and the first one in the list comes with a full 30 day trial to give it a spin and see if it's suitable for your business needs.
Let me know what you think!

Hi,
I've taken the best part of half a day and I'm really struggling to find a solution to what I feel should be quite simple! The information on the internet is muddled with the difference between shipping labels and just printing an address on a label.
@Ren I found all of those apps and tried them. Your reply advises that 'Each of these apps come with the capacity to help print your address labels either singularly or in bulk'.
I have a Zebra GK420D and I'm trying to utilize this to print our customer addresses on labels, essentially to save time from having to write on multiple boxes each day, these would need to be printed one at a time. However, In each of these apps, I could only see information regarding bulk printing, mostly on Avery paper.
Are you able to shed some light on this at all? There seem to be so many people in a similar situation.
Hi @DizLun,
Thanks for your post! Each of the apps should list what their compatibility is, so if there is no mention of your specific printer or software then I am not sure it'll work. That being said since these are third-party apps I would recommend reaching out to their support directly for a hand. You can find the contact information on the app store pages to the bottom right.
Another merchant shared a helpful workaround below so please let me know your thoughts if you try it out!

Hey,
Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention, we did spot this workaround on another thread actually! It's awesome to hear you've found something that works for you, however, this process won't fit the bill for us sadly. I feel like I'm going in circles at this stage, It is so perplexing that a solution isn't already available for such a simple task!
HI @getHeliGirl - would you mind hsaring your xlsx and docx templates? Your approach sounds great and would fit my store, but I tried for quite a while and failed to get this done.
would be awesome - thanks,
Agnes
HI Ren 7
You might be able to help. I am looking for integrated labels that will extract this information from Shopify
Order information, i.e. which product was picked
Whether a book is included or not
So basically pick and pack info.
Then I will have the message label and shipping label as stickers that would print the info to go direct onto the parcel.
Do you know if this exists and how I can achieve all this, it's basically one piece of paper, but with the two integrated stickers but also pick and pack info.
Many thanks in advance.
I contacted Shopify help today, nearly 3 years after the original poster.
All I want to do is print a big, easy to read address to stick on the box. Just an address label, not a shipping label.
They gave me all sort of hack methods for something that should really be the most basic functionality for an eCommerce platform.
I hand deliver boxes. I have to copy and paste addresses out of Shopify into MS Word to print them???
Hi Umangu,
We have a third-party app designed exactly for your needs. Labelbot is perfect for local deliveries and self-shippers as it allows you to print an address label directly from your orders list. It's compatible with standard Avery labels and has a whole selection of customizations you can apply, such as your logo and label sizes.
You also get the ability to filter out specific orders. It's a great time saver, especially if you've been writing out your labels by hand.
While we don't currently have anything built into the Shopify admin that serves this purpose, we are constantly developing new features and always taking feedback about how to make our product better for our merchants, so thank you for your feedback on this. I'm happy to submit it to the appropriate teams for review.
Let me know your thoughts on the app!

Some really great feedback here, thank you for your thoughts on this. As Shopify is ever growing and changing, we are constantly seeking out these kinds of pain points and our teams are continuously creating solutions. This happens on such a large scale across the platform that it takes time for fixes, updates and new products to ship.
If you haven't already, you can pin this page and keep an eye out for any updates. I will also be raising your point and providing your feedback to the appropriate teams to log and make sure all voices are being heard on the relevant topics and concerns.
