Is there a way when a customer has cancelled the order after you have already bought / printed the shipping label, but are NOT sending the package, to be refunded by shopify for the shipping you paid for?

I appreciate your question, and I'd be glad to provide some insight on this for you today. We definitely don't want you to have to pay for a shipping label that will not be used! In fact, you can void your shipping label in just a few short clicks. Before you begin, make sure your label meets the following criteria:

  • It has been less than 30 days since you bought the label
  • There have been no tracking events on the label, such as the shipment being accepted by the shipping carrier

If so, move forward with next steps.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

  2. Click the number of the order with the shipping label that you want to void.

  3. In the Fulfilled section, click More > Void label.

  4. Select a reason for voiding the label.

  5. Click Void label and insurance to confirm.

Tip: You can buy a new label for this order should any changes happen.
