Show payment methods based on specific shipping methods?

Hi,

I would like to show my customers payment methods based on the shipping methods they will choose, for example, if a client choose "standard shipping" method then the "Pay on Delivery" method will not be shown to them and vice versa.

Knowing that checkout page cannot be modified with my current plan, I would like to know if there would be a solution by adding an additional script.
