When will I receive my first sale payment?

Hi I’m new here and made my 1st sale 1st January. When will I start getting the payments? I can’t seem to find any information anywhere. Thanks. Natalie.

Congratulations on your first sale and welcome to the Shopify Community! You will receive your payout depending on what the current payout schedule is set to within the store settings. You can navigate to Settings > Payments > Manage, you should see the section titled Payout schedule. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

Hi. Thank you so much for your reply. So I went there I have it ticked for payment every business day. Do I have to wait a certain time for the 1st payment to be sent to me with me being a new shop? I have only had 11 orders but I am sending them as they come in and running low on money now paying for the postage out of my own money. Thanks. Natalie.

In this case, if you have selected to be paid out every business day and still have not received a payout for the orders you have processed. We will need to take a look into the setup of your online store to advise further.

What payment gateway are you currently using? If you're using Shopify Payments, please note that your payouts are subject to specific pay periods. Meaning, they undergo a processing period before being sent to your bank account. The number of days it takes for payouts to be processed depends on your country, so please feel free to visit this page to find out the specific pay period relevant to your business.

If you're using a third-party payment gateway, I suggest reaching out to its support team. Third-party payment providers have different terms, so I'm unable to confirm when you can expect your payout. They will be able to provide more information on this.
