Why does Apple Pay reset shipping method when changing address?

Hi there,


I just found that on the Apple Pay Pop Up payment page, if I have chosen a shipping method but then I have to edit the shipping address or change another shipping address, the shipping method will return to default and I will have to manually choose it again. This is quite annoying as people would not expect the shipping method to be changed in such case. We already have quite a lot of customers encountering this leading to a tons of extra follow up for us to do.



May I know if this is an Apple Pay issue, or can Shopify do anything to avoid it? I don't know if it is intentionally designed for security reason or what, what the experience is really bad.
