Why isn't express checkout working on my new online store?

I recently created my shopify account and store. While testing out the express checkouts (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.), none of them seem to work, even though I have them all enabled in payment settings. When I click on any of the express checkout options, it will load for a second, and then I get this error: "Express checkout isn't available right now. Try refreshing the page or fill out your information to check out." Has anyone had this issue and know a fix? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are you seeing the same error message if you test your express checkout options on a different device, or on incognito mode? If you'd like me to test this on my end, feel free to link your website on your reply here so that I can navigate to your store's checkout and perform some of my own testing.


If you've confirmed that the issue occurs in multiple browsers and devices however, please contact our live support team directly so that we can securely access your account from our end to troubleshoot this in more detail.
