Why isn't my new payment method showing up on my store?

Hello Everyone,

I had PayPal as my default payment method on my store but I recently added a new payment method (Paystack) to enable options for my customers.

 

But when I visit my store, PayPal is the only option available for payment, there's no option for Paystack (the newly added mode of payment).

How do I rectify this?

I hope you are enjoying Shopify and your entrepreneurial journey thus far. To better assist you, please share the following details with me here:

 

  • What region are you located in?
  • A link to your store URL
  • How did you set-up Paystack? If it is through your Admin > Payments section, what do you see there currently?
  • Did you try to visit your website using an incognito or private window?

That will give me a better idea of anything else that could be preventing the payment gateway from appearing at checkout, but if there's anything else you can think of please share that as well.

My apologies for the delayed response due to the holiday break, though I was able to test this and I believe I understand the issue.

 

I do see PayPal as an express checkout option on the checkout page, as expected. Paystack payment options, however, don't appear until the last step of checkout which is the payment portion. This is also expected behavior, and perhaps where the confusion came in.

 

If you do not see Paystack as a payment option at the last step of checkout please share a screenshot with me here.

I am not seeing Paystack in my checkout even when it is activated

  • A screenshot of your payment settings showing the gateway active (be sure to block out any personal informaion)
  • A screenshot of the last step in your checkout process
  • Your website URL for further testing

To add to my last reply, I also wanted to ensure you have your Paystack credentials and have successfully set up your account through their platform. This payment gateway won't be available in all regions, so please confirm your region for me as well for further troubleshooting.
