Because NY State has variable tax rates on clothing, and we provide some customers with a 10% discount on some items, the reports as they exist now do not provide sufficient data to reconcile the register the way intuit’s Quickbooks POS (our former register) did. The product reports show a total discount but not per-item discount. So our poor bookkeeper is having to drill into every single transaction to see what individual items were discounted, and it’s taking her forever.
Allowing the "discount" column in the itemized product reports would solve it. Currently that option is mysteriously turned off for those reports but is active for other reports.
