Experiencing discount code issues on POS after recent update?

I was just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with the discount codes on the POS since the most recent update? We can still use discounts manually, but using one that has a discount code is not working correctly. It tries to calculate the code and then just kind of disappears. This is only working on one ipad. My personal ipad and iPhone are not having the same problem and despite doing all the things (updating ipad, restarting, uninstalling app, uninstalling tiles, ALL THE THINGS), it just won't work. Anyone else?

Same issue here. Only one iPad anyway, have to manually calculate the discount as our system does exactly the same as yours, tries to calculate then disappears without adding the money off. Getting fed up with all the little glitches we’re having with Shopify lately 😞

Having this same issue with ours on iPads. I put in a ticket with customer service but they haven't been able to come up with a solution yet.

Also having the same issue. It's occurring on iphone and ipad. Discount % and fixed amounts both work. Discount codes do not work.

Mine just says gets stuck saying Validating...

We are having the same problems and have reached out to support and are waiting for a resolution.  One of the main reasons this is such an issue for us is we have codes that are set up to be used only once per customer and we aren't able to track the discount when we have to enter the percentage off manually.  Hoping this situation gets resolved very soon!

Same for us. They have stopped updating our ticket. Told us to update, uninstall, reinstall a bunch of times. Nothing is fixed yet.

When you create a discount in Shopify Web Admin, the summary of the code on the right hand side says "

  • Available on online sales channels"

Seems like Shopify modified some code and broke all of the discounts. Somehow it's making them all exclusive to ONLINE channel only. 

There's NO option to make it available in other channels!

Anyone having this issue on pos where the buy x get y discount is not working when adding it by codes? It’s available on the pos channel but it says not valid.

I have the same issue - chatted with support agent who said "It hasn't been working on POS for a long time".  Very frustrating!

Yes, its needs to be an automatic discount, and then it will work on pos.

Same issue here, no ability to run this on POS unless it is automatic. Did you have any luck?

Shopify continues to TAKE AWAY functionality (like this, and like price over ride and more), that was part of the expected user agreement we paid for when we started using this system. They are moving to a format where they remove functionality, then add it in as a PAID app. Outrageous! Shareholders are laughing themselves to sleep at night. Looking forward to a real POS system with true omni channel coming along, but I stopped holding my breath that it will be Shopify to correct that. As of today (Feb 2, 2024) I can't even get my items going on sale in February to select the POS at all, in any format. Not allowed to have sales in store. Do it manually is what they told us for BLACK FRIDAY! And it's still that way today.
