How to apply different discounts to different items at checkout?

Are we not able to apply diffrent discounts to diffrent items while checking out? Must we have to manually type in line item discounts every time if two diffren titems have two different discounts?

I understand that you're looking to apply multiple discounts to different items when customers have the qualifying items in their cart. While you can combine percentage and monetary discounts for line items using the Shopify POS and giving customers multiple discounts, it's important to note that you can only apply one cart discount. Discounts like automatic discounts or discount codes applies to the entire order, therefore these types of discounts can't be stacked. 

That being said, if you really need to apply multiple discounts to the cart, then this is something that you can do through a third-party discount app. For example, Stackable Discounts allows you to stack discounts and this app is compatible with Shopify POS. If you need any help with a third-party app, the app developer is always available to assist you - you can reach out to them directly through the contact information found in the Support section of their app's page.

I'd love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products do you sell? Do you need to stack discounts often? What other types of discounts do you offer (eg. BOGO)?

I did download Stackable Discounts and it's not exactly what i was looking for. I just wanted to be able to line item discount individually and hit a button and choose a discount instead of manually typing a discount in for each item like you can do with Squre's POS. That would be faster check outs and less manual work going into products and adjusting items for discounts. Sometimes we want diffrent prices online and in store. Maybe one day Shopify will update the POS for this everyday simple task for retail.

We are a women's clothing boutique. We run discounts online and we can have sale racks in store with diffrent discounts and items not available online as well.

I can see how being able to select discounts when applying discounts on line items can be a useful feature, such as using a preset of discounts or a way to access other discounts available in the store - this would be especially useful for stores that offer different prices/sales across different sales channels and this could help reduce some of the manual work involved in the process of discounting/adjusting line items.

That being said, I'd be happy to pass this feedback along to our development team for future considerations. If Shopify moves forward with any changes to how discounts are applied to line items (on the Shopify POS), then we'll be sure to announce these updates and/or changes on the Shopify Changelog. 

Since your store offers different types of sales, then are you using anything to interact with customers on your store (eg. Shopify Inbox)? Do you run any ad campaigns at the moment or do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

this is a must feature sounds so simple why cant we offer chanel wise pricing , i saw showipf juts realeased different market pricing so why can it not do different pos and online pricing , this is very basic feature and is a must for pos
