Why can't I log back into my POS system after a card error?

I had a card transaction and after removing the card, the pos system still said to remove the card.  The card had already been removed and I could not get out of the screen.  After trying everything I could think of I powered down.  Now I can’t log back in (Error 0) message.

Are you still having trouble logging into your POS? If so, I suggest manually changing the PIN via your Shopify Admin. Follow the steps below to create a new PIN for your POS app:

 

  • From your Shopify admin head to Settings > Users and Permission

  • Then click your name under Store Owner

  • Scroll down to Point of Sale access

  • Here you can generate your PIN that will be used to log into your POS app on your mobile device
