Why can't my new POS sales associate sign in?

I am trying to add a POS Sales associate. But when he tries to sign in it keeps saying, 

"We were unable to authenticate you.

You must confirm your account before logging in. Visit your email to accept your invitation." But he hasn't gotten an email. What do we do?
