Is anyone else receiving 520 Origin Errors responses for the REST API?
Receiving the response below:
<head><title>520 Origin Error</title></head>
<center><h1>520 Origin Error</h1></center>
Yes, I'm seeing these on the graphql storefront API, since around 8. My store admin was also unavailable as well, but that is now back up.
What happened? Some merchants are having issues loading different pages in their Shopify Admin. Our APIs are facing a similar issue. We are investigating and will keep you updated. Status Investigating
I'm also seeying this, even on a simple GET request:
It seems that now the requests are requiring to set the Host header. I was getting the error, tried the same Get method in Postman and it worked. Then noticed that if I disabled the Host header it failed the same way. I changed my code to include the Host using my shop name, and it is now working.
I was getting them randomly from both the REST and GraphQL APIs earlier today and over the last few days. Few and far between, but yeah.
This was a known issue that occurred on Feb 17, 2021 around 14:45 EST which was resolved by 16:00 EST, and you should no longer be experiencing such errors. If you're still encountering such errors, please provide us with a request id (found in the response header) and we will look into the issue further.
