Can EZ Exporter automate daily personalized report exports to Dropbox?

Hello,

I'm interested in automating a report that was internally created by a colleague in our company. This export is crucial for updating our sales dashboard database.

I would like to automate this export to run daily, fetching data from the 1st of January until yesterday. Additionally, I'd prefer the exported file to be saved directly to a Dropbox folder.

I've heard about EZ Exporter; can someone confirm if it can meet these requirements?

Are there any other suitable options available?

Also, Matrixify can't do the job because it concerns a personalized report.

Hi There,

You can do this using our Report Toaster app. Just customize the report as you'd like and schedule it to be sent to a Dropbox folder via email. You can see how to do that with Dropbox here - https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-file-request.

Hey there Robin,

Jonathan here, developer of the EZ Exporter app.

We do have a direct Dropbox integration, so you can schedule an automated export to run daily and have the file uploaded to a Dropbox folder.  You can timestamp filenames so you can have a new file created everyday or overwrite an existing file.

You can set Filters > Created to "Year to Date" and schedule the export to run at 12:01am daily.  You can also include an additional Custom Filter with the condition "Created At is less than {{ current_date }}" if you want to make sure no order from the current date is included (i.e. in case an order arrives between 12:00am and 12:01am or while the export is running, this filter will exclude that order).

Update: I might be able to use a Shopify report, named "Sales over time". 

Can you confirm that EZ Exporter can extract the same data as Shopify?

Hey there Robin,

Unfortunately, the returned_quantity field is currently not possible to export with our app (the returns data comes from a separate API endpoint outside of the Order API, which we don't support yet).  We can only export the refunded_quantity at the moment.

We also won't be able to match the sales reports from the Shopify Admin > Analytics exactly (detailed explanation here as to why).
