How can I overcome the 100 variant limit on my ecommerce platform?

The Shopify 100 variant limit is really affecting me to the point I may need to look for another platform

I need to increase the colour options available.  I attached a screenshot to show what I mean 

How can I do this?

There apps that workaround the limitation by just creating new products, search "variant limit" on the app store. Keep in mind to test how this may impact reporting,inventory, or fulfillment,etc 

If the colors do not affect prices, or skus you may be able to use a personalization app, or do a theme customization to collect product information passing one of the options through checkout to the orders as text.

A DIY alternative is flatten your products* by not trying to cram all variants into a product limitation. Where you either

A) create individual products that represent one options value and the other attributes as options i.e. a /products/canvas-shirt only has a colors option.

B) create a product for each unique option-combination /products/canvas-pink-large, /products/supplex-orange etc.

Then for the online-sales channel use advanced theme customizations to present them as a single product where "variants" are selected like normal.

Again keeping in mind testing such a process.

This app seemed like it would work but as I need the picture to show beside the relevant selection i can't justify the cost per month

Shopify recently announced that they're working on APIs to support more than 100 variants: https://www.shopify.com/editions/summer2023?utm_campaign=Summer23Edition-Amplify&itcat=partner-dash&...

I'm assuming this will be made availabe on the Shopify Admin at some point as well, though there's currently no timeline when it will be released or what the new limit will be.

Is some instances I need 4 options as well.  I am a fabric printing business so I will give a few examples below.  A big factor is I need the Variant to have a specific picture loaded to each as it reflect the scale size printed

EXAMPLE 1:

First Option is Material.  I have 16 bases

Second Option is Size.  I have Child, Big Kid & Adult

Third Option is Colour.  Due to the above option i can only list 2 colours and i sometimes need up to 10 colours

EMAPLE 2:

First option is Material.  I have 16 bases

Second Option I need Lenght.  0.5m and 1m (Not currently able to do this)

Third Option is Colour and again need to list upwards of 10 colours

Is this possible?

I actually do both options

I have downloaded your app but some functions don't seem to suit.  Especially the pricing structure I don't want to have to set a base price and then increase the other variants and it being visable to the customer
