How to properly delete an Email app without residual coding?

Hi

 

Is anybody know if there is a special requirements to delete Email app whitout leaving non wanted coding in the store?

Ah okay, thanks for getting back to me with those details.

 

Those links tell me that you have the Shopify Email app installed on your store. If you'd like to remove it, you can navigate to your Shopify admin and head over to Settings > Apps and sales channels. From there, locate the Email app within your list of currently installed apps, and you can click on the Ellipsis (...) to then select the Uninstall option in order to remove the app from your store.

As mentioned, the Shopify Email app doesn't interact with your store's theme directly, so uninstalling the app is enough to completely remove it from your store, and it wouldn't leave any residual codes behind on your store's theme.

Hi, @gjfo.

 

Which email app are you referring to specifically? Would it be our Shopify Email app?

 

If that's the case, the Shopify Email app doesn't interact with a store's theme directly, so it wouldn't leave any injected scripts behind if you proceed to uninstall the app from your store.

 

The same can't be said for all apps, however, particularly third-party apps. For context, when an app is removed from a store, any scripts injected through the Asset API will be removed from the storefront. Any other scripts that are not injected through the Asset API however, or other codes that may have been added during installation, will not be removed

 

If the app you're looking to uninstall on your store is a third-party one, you can navigate to the app's website to see if they have any instructions on how you can remove extra code upon uninstallation of the app. If you don't feel comfortable in removing the coding yourself, or if the app doesn't have any uninstall documentation, you'll need to contact the app support team directly so that they can provide further assistance.

Thank you for your reply.

Maybe I am not sure.

It was not me that installed this app. When I try to get more information from the app I get these links:

But I do not see anything about deleting procedure.
