App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello everyone,
I'm planning to develop my own store. I wanted a feature that is kinda like a "Multi Vendor App" but I wanted to manage the product listings of the sellers myself so that I could control my branding.
I wanted something like this:
1. A feature where I can add sellers on my store, they will have an account that has a dashboard with their sales in it.
2. Sellers can't add any products, only I has the power to do that. I'll just list the products that they wanted to sell under their name.
3. Then if a product under their name has been sold, the sales data will be sent to their dashboard, or probably not just the data, but the payment also for their sales.
Is this possible? or am I insane for thinking about this? 😂
Thank you in advance!
Hi @shaq18 ,
I am developer of shopify app called Feeds Bridge it allows you to do all the things you have listed on your request.
1) You can create vendors.
2) Upload products using vendor data feed (only you can do this vendors can't import products).
3) You can grant access to your vendors so they can see all of their items and orders fulfillment requests (you would need to create order fulfillment request on shopify in order to make it visible for vendor to see it).
4) Manage pricing on Feeds Bridge using pricing rules (each vendor has it's own pricing rules set up).
5) Vendors can fulfill their orders by providing shipping information and your customer can get notifications right after vendor shipped your item.
6) There is also a dashboard where vendors can see how much they earned, which orders are marked as paid and what's pending amount which needs to be paid by you for orders which has been shipped.
If you are interested in using such app, please feel free to contact me via email [email protected] I will help you on every step of this app set up.
Hey @shaq18! Yes, you are a little insane for thinking about this, insanely clever! I'm so glad to be the one to share Duoplane with you. The Duoplane app does what you've described AND MORE. Here's how it works:
1. A feature where I can add sellers on my store, they will have an account that has a dashboard with their sales in it.
Inside the Duoplane app, you have a portal that receives orders. Duoplane splits the orders according to the product that has been purchased and sends the orders out to your individual vendors to fulfill. Your vendor also gets their own portal where they have an overview of ONLY THEIR SALES in your store. It is a very rough overview tho! Only the 12-month order history chart and the last 30 days' revenue and orders are shown. (see picture below)
On top of this, YOU get an analytics page in your portal where you can compare the financial and operational data for how each vendor or product is performing!
2. Sellers can't add any products, only I have the power to do that. I'll just list the products that they wanted to sell under their name.
Yep, vendors won't be able to touch your product listings at all. However, they can upload inventory feeds to ensure that the quantity levels on your store are up to date. This is a massive plus for you as you wouldn't have to be worried about updating inventory levels manually!
3. Then if a product under their name has been sold, the sales data will be sent to their dashboard, or probably not just the data, but the payment also for their sales.
Yep, so anytime an order is made on your store, it gets sent to them via email, the portal, or whatever delivery method they'd prefer, also in a customizable file format. It works like magic!
Best of all, their customer support is excellent, and you can get a free trial before making any commitment. Do your research to see what best suits your needs. Don't just take my word for it - check out Duoplane on the Shopify app store and read their reviews.
