Shopify Chat & Ping

I understand that Ping is being removed soon. However, we have it integrated with Shopify chat and our SMS text messaging app. Customer messages come through on Ping and we chat on that platform. I have set up Kit to chat with me via text message and I thought this would redirect customer messages to text rather than Ping but I have just tested it and messages are still being sent to Ping. Can anyone tell me where I will get notifications of customer chats once Ping is removed - thanks
