Can I create a standalone kiosk for book price look up in my store?

Hi

So the scenario is :

We have part of our physical store which sells books with barcodes, these are all used as SKUs in shopify.

Can I use part of a script as a standalone look up screen / price check for customer use?

Would either just run on an older unused PC or Rasberry Pi behind a monitor.

My thinking is a screen with a search box, scan  code, call to shopify database, retrieve information and price, display on screen details of book & price, after a set period reset for next customer.

Would this be easy?

Any help would be appreciated.
