How can I adjust the spacing in my Debut theme homepage?

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help.  I've tried many things that have already been posted on here, but nothing is working.  Basically want my home page to be full width and the spaces between each section to be closer together.  I've attached screenshots.  Password is iapeod.  Be great if someone could help!

Note: first make a duplicate copy of live theme and them edit code. 

You will need to change CSS. To increase the width for the section on the homepage go to theme edit code and look for the file with the name theme.css. It will be under assest folder. open the file and press ctrl+f and search for ".page-width" class. this class will be having a css property of max-width: 1200px; you can remove this line. And this will increase the sections width issue.

Unfortunately that didn't work, as I am unable to search within the css file for some reason.
