How can I import code from Shopify into VS Code?

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to import my code from Shopify into VS Code, and vice versa.

Thank you for sharing your question with our network. Also thank you to, @Salil17, for taking the time to answer this question.

 

In addition to the resource shared by our partner, @Salil17, I was able to find a Theme Check extension for Visual Studio Code if that is appropriate to your needs. The extension has the following features:

  • Underlines errors and provides warnings in the editor
  • Offers quick fixes for auto-correctable offenses
  • Auto-completes some Liquid syntax, including:
  • Auto-closes Liquid delimiters
  • Applies Liquid {% comment %} and {% endcomment %} tags to line and block comments using keyboard shortcuts
  • Applies indentation
  • Adds document links for render, include, and section tags, and the asset_url filter.

Requirements for this extension include having Shopify CLI installed. I trust that provides further insight, but please let us know if you have further questions.
