Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hey,
I've added a video to a page. It's a portrait orientation, so it looks good on mobile, but on desktop it is huge.
I have tried reducing the height and width, which only worked partially:
1. The video does get smaller, but I cannot center it
2. Only the actual video is getting smaller. I couldn't find how to set the whole section, because now there's a small video box and a lot of empty background space and you have to scroll a lot before getting to the other content on the page.
For now I have deleted the changes. You can see how it looks here:

I can't believe there's yet ANOTHER feature that should be basic, but not on Shopify, here you have to code your way through every small feature.
I am using Crave theme.
I'd appreciate any help on this as I can't get it quite where I need it.

I understand your frustrations in this.
While we don't yet have this built into the theme settings, for the meantime I would recommend that we look into this with our theme support, since this is a Shopify theme.
You are entitled to design time as described here - which means that you can contact our support, and we can help you with this customization.

I just took a moment to have a look at your website, and you're making great progress so far!
I noticed that on the home page, as I scroll down, there are sections with text which are meant to have images, but those are currently empty - are you planning to add images there, or maybe are you having some issues with that as well?

Hello, Lana, and thanks for the reply. Just to be clear - I have to use the support feature for resizing a section? I mean I just want it to display normally, I consider this basic functionality, not an extra personalization.
If so, maybe someone else here from the community can help with this.
So just to clarify, because at the moment this is done through coding, changes like this and anything else which requires code are examples of what we can assist you in - should you need it.
Like that, the Community is also a great place to get advice if you would like to do the coding yourself.
As an additional recommendation, you should make sure to take the steps to duplicate your theme before you make any changes - that way, if anything goes wrong, you will have a copy of your theme that was unaffected by the changes.
