How can I turn off double opt-in for email subscriptions?

Hi there,

I currently have the double opt in option unticked  but when I someone subscribes, they still receive the email asking them to confirm their email subscription. How do I remove this? Thanks!

'Double Optin' setting is turned OFF, but I just submitted a test order and got a double optin confirmation email. 😕 

 

Yes, the settings have been 'Saved'.

I've found a solution for mine! Such a silly bug. If you have Klayvio or another email app, navigate to the opt in settings - For Klayvio - lists and segments - newsletter - settings - consent. Have both Shopify AND this page open and select single opt in on both pages. Worked for me. Hope this helps..

Hi, can you please explain; what do you mean by "Have both Shopify AND this page open" ?

 

I already set Klaviyo list 'Newsletter' to single opt in. Are you saying to do this in Klaviyo while having Shopify open in another tab? How does this effect Shopify as well?
