is there a way to add same text to all products?

Hi,

I'd like to add one line of text at the bottom of all my product descriptions. Do I need to do that manually (200 products) or is there a way to automatize that?

thank you!

you need to know liquid coding for that. This loop is actually different theme have different place. So if you know liquid then you can easily do that.

otherwise find some app that can solve this problem or hire any coder to do that

Thanks

James - the first place to start looking would be in your product.liquid template. In that template could be lots of code, or nearly none. In the case where there is very little code look for statements that use {% section %} or {% include %} tags as these indicate other files you'll need to look at.

{% section %} will be files in the section folder of your theme.
{% include %} will be files in the snippet folder of your theme.

In most case you should be looking for this:

{{ product.description }}

^ That's the output of the product description into the page. You would add you custom text below that.

If you really can't find this you might need to start posting some code - or at the very least the name of the theme you're using.

hello

I have found {{ product.description }} in my template, How can I add Html code in the end of all the products ? There are 200+ products.

Whatever you add right after {{ product.description }} will appear on all your product pages, given that you are in a template.

So for example :

{{ product.description }}
<p></p>
<p>Free shipping on all orders!</p>
<p>Easy returns</p>
<p>...</p>

There are cleaner methods to add extra content after the product description but if you only have a couple of lines to add, you can do it this way.

Hi thank you for the example, I have a few symbols and a couple of paragraphs with headers I'd like to add, are there any secrets to make it work in a cleaner format?

@Bnb I don't get what you're trying to achieve.  If you want to do something fancy you just have to know some basics in html/css.

If you want the code to look "cleaner" you can create a snippet, as explained in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hOikTfYD_s

Hi @MaxDesign, thank you for the link. I was a bit unclear in a previous message, but I did create a snippet in which I included few icons, such as Free Shipping, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and such, and few paragraphs of text. As far asI can check syntax, it seems correct, basic HTML, referencing titles, imgs and text. Then I included it in my product description section using: {% include ‘new snippet name’ %} right below product description. However, nothing shows up on my product page. And I cannot understand why. I am using minimal theme. Any ideas why it could be?

You should not include the snippet inside the product description, this is only for richtext or html. The snippet should go under {{ product.description }} in a template named, eg. "product-template.liquid" or "product.liquid".

If you do that correctly and you don't see the changes on your product page then maybe you have alternate templates. PM if you need extra help.

Hi @telboy,

If you want to add more text under the description, for all your product descriptions, then you should go into the section file "product-template.liquid". As its name suggest, it's a template so the code you write under {{ product.description }} will appear at the bottom of all your descriptions.

Hope that helps.

If you're looking for {{product discription}}, you will never find it. You should exactly be looking for {{ product.description }} on a non-changed Venture theme. Search it with the search console (ctrl + F). I can't help you anymore than that :

Then add your code under {{ product.description }}
Cheers

@MaxDesign I have tried this and it did not work! I have descriptions for each product, but I want to add those two lines to every product description.

Any ideas?

Edit: It works if I toggle putting the add to cart button above the product description. But I would like to have it so it works with it under. Also, is there a way to have those two lines appear first in my product description?
