Product Page: Variant Image to hide - Parallax theme

Hi there,

On a product we currently have 80 variants and have 1 photo for each. Is there an option to hide the variant images on the product page and only just show it when that specific variant is selected?

Is it possible via coding or do we need an app for this? If an app, can you recommend the best one? The variants we have don't have colors, so we don't need swatches.
