Why does the wrong pillow size keep getting added to the cart?

Hello there!

 

I am currently working as an intern for a company. They have asked me to resolve a problem but I can't seem to find the solution.

 

The problem I have:

 

We sell a pillow that can be bought in size 60x60 and 40x60. But every time a person adds the 60x60 pillow to their cart and go to their cart the item has been added as a 40x60 pillow instead of the 60x60 version.

If they add a 40x60 to the cart, it stays as a 40x60. So the problem is with the 60x60x size version.

 

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Thanks for the URL.

 

It seems that the on variant change the correct ID is not passed in the Add to Cart form due to which the correct id is not added to cart.

So the code needs to be checked and fixed. I will recommend you to seek help of a developer at reasonable cost.

Hi,

 

I could be wrong, but this sounds like the cart template needing some code modification to better handle variants. Can't tell for sure without looking at code.

 

That's what I would look at first and go from there.

 

If you'd rather not deal with code, you can hire a freelancer to do it for you for a few bucks.

You can take a look into the Product form input, to check if its has been duplicated.

 

Usually, each form should have one input to gather the variant ID, but if its duplicated or missing, it will just add the pre-selected.
