Why is my account greyed out on Chromebook?

My Shopify account used to open normally on Chromebook. However, lately it opens up but is all greyed out. I have no access to the buttons.  I have tried clearing cache, powerwashing my Chromebook, etc., no luck.

Please help.

Hi, @K4S!

Welcome to Shopify Community.

Thank you so much for reaching out with your question. I'd be glad to further support you with this today.

It sounds like maybe there was an update that is causing these glitches in your current Shopify experience. To clarify, are you experiencing these issues across other devices as well?

If it is in fact just the Chromebook, let's live into some localized troubleshooting. Can you please try the following:

I do realize you have tried some of the steps above, but it is imperative we have you rule these out once again back to back.

If you continue to experience this, please let me know which region you are located in and which browser version you are currently on.

I look forward to your reply,

Also,

I am currently traveling in Ethiopia (and it was working when I got here) and I am using the latest version of chrome.  The Shopify back office opens well on IOS (apple laptop, Safari, Chrome etc) but not on Chromebook.

Thank you for the reply.  Yes, I have tried all of those solutions, including trying to download other browsers to the chromebook, but nothing is working.  The Shopify account looks like it is open, however, it is all ‘greyed’ out and does not accept clicks by my mouse – hope you understand.

Thank you so much for that context, @K4S!

I have been trying to replicate your experience on my end, but I have not been able to as of yet. I did further testing with a Chromebook specifically, and still could not recreate this.

With that being said, I'd like to help you escalate your question to our technical team. In order to do this, you must connect with our authenticated Support team directly for them to access your account and begin technical steps.

Please reach out at your earliest convenience.

Olivia,

I'm having the exact same issue as this customer described. I'm using my chromebook now on this part of shopify, but once I go to either of my two stores, I only have the gray screen where none of the functions can be clicked on to manage my page. I'm running the most current version of chrome, cleared all of the cached files and cookies, etc. It still won't allow me to access anything on my page, but oddly enough, allows me to access all of the links and functions on this page. Please advise.
