Why is my drop down menu conflicting with my homepage banner?

Hello,

Can anyone help me please?

If i have my main banner placed under my drop-down menu it conflicts and the menu appears but the drop down links aren't clickable.

If i place a different section of the page there, the menu works. This only happens on the homepage.
