Why my favicon isn't showing?

Hello,

I have successfully added my favicon to my theme, but it isn't showing up on my website.

I have already deleted my cache and cookies, and it still isn't showing up.

What could I do? Thanks in advance

Elle here from Shopify. 

Can you check in your theme.liquid (Online store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code > Theme.liquid) file for the following snippet?

  {%- if settings.favicon != blank -%}
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="{{ settings.favicon | img_url: '32x32' }}" type="image/png">
  {%- endif -%}

If you cannot find this snippet, simply add it back to your theme's code and your favicon should work!

What theme are you using?

Also, is the favicon visible on a desktop browser but not on mobile?

My favicon issue not being updated has been resolved. My favicon was updated in 15 days. The short-icon meta tag worked on my site.

Is this the favicon you have uploaded into your theme under Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme Settings > Favicon?

I can see your favicon is working as expected:

When a favicon is added through your Shopify theme, you should see it within your browser tabs, as well as on browser pages that list web addresses such as the bookmarks page, not within your Google search listing.
