I have lots of customers who accept marketing. Is their email stored somewhere so I can market to it, and what exactly does this "accept marketing" mean? How can I utilize it?
anti spam laws require people have a choice to accept marketing. typically this is achieved at checkout by setting a checkbox to "yes I accept" and then giving them the option to actively opt out. If they left the box checked then they "Accept Marketing" and you can send them mail.
there are a number of mail list managers and mass mail services (mailchimp.com bronto.com) and you can export you 'Accepts Marketing' list form shopify and import it into one of these services to manage the list and emailing them. read more about email marketing and this should start to make sense. Shopify integrates with Shopify via Chimpify App -- that may help.
Where can I export the Accepts Marketing list? I see the users, but don't see a way to market to them. Already have mailchimp up. Thanks.
It's great you are thinking of how to market to your customers post-purchase. Our app (in private beta) automates post-purchase marketing by using email receipts.
Our app helps online retailers acquire new customers and engage existing ones using product recommendations in email receipts. These recommendations are highly targeted to drive up-sell and cross-sell of your products.
We are launching a Shopify app very soon. We would like to invite you to sign up for private beta.

I'm also looking for a way to do this (send emails to people who "accepts marketing"), but I'm looking for something automated that links new account signups who accept marketing with our existing MailChimp account.
I don't want to have to do a regular export; is there a way to integrate our customers/register.liquid code with a MailChimp list/form?
